Very pleased

Local 3class autox in WA state. Setup is typical fast course utilizing banks and infield on a local ractrack. Started off cold and damp, (48deg) difficult to get traction. Sun came out and track dried. Ambient temps 52deg. Higher pressure brought grip. Ended up 1st in class, 4th overall. M240i 265 square on 9.5s. First time on P1s. Very pleased once some heat got in them.

The P1s felt great!

Local lotus club had their last AX of the year on go kart pad at Laguna Seca. Short 32 second course. My 991.2 Carrera set top time of the day against race cars on slicks. The P1s felt great! Im also getting better feel for them as I was running Hoosier A7s in the past. I’m running 345/25/19 and 295/25/19 P1 s on 12.5 and 10.5 width wheels.

I’m very happy with the Vitour P1s.

After a season of testing I can say I’m very happy with the Vitour P1s. Not only is sizing a bonus (for 15” in my case) they seem to hold up well and grip very well. I compete in time attack and I’ve been able to closely compare the 285/30/15 P1s to 275/35/15 AR1s and 245/40/15 CRSs. The AR1s are definitely inferior to the CRSs in every way but width. But even then the CRS makes up for it with a better compound, better heat capacity and longevity. I would usually only get 1 good event out of AR1s but I am able to get 2+ out of CRSs with very similar, if not better, lap times. That being said, switching to the P1s have netted me an average of about 5% faster lap times over everything. The P1s still provide plenty of feedback through the wheel even though they are a wider tire and they manage heat very well. I’m able to push 3 or 4 hot laps with no noticeable loss in grip and a few corners at cooldown pace are enough to restore grip even on the hottest days. They are very consistent throughout their life and very confidence inspiring even after 3 or 4 events. They wear very smooth and consistently compared the AR1s that seem to just unevenly melt away. The edge of grip is very easy to feel and they have a very predictable limit. I have battled with snap oversteer on other tires but these are very controllable. I know there is more left in my car in terms of setup so I’m looking forward to continuing to run the P1 and optimize my setup accordingly. I’m planning on going up to the 305/30/15 to gain a bit of overall height to combat gearing on some local tracks so I’m looking forward to comparing the 285s with those.

Fastest car on street tires.

See the video Tire testing 305/30‐15 vitours vs my 245/35-15s on my ND. Wow the 305s have so much grip. Fastest car on street tires at the corner exit event last weekend. 2nd raw time overall, only 3 tenths behind a Cayman GT4 on Hoosier A7s. The 305s on the 15s fit the ND without needing to cut or modify the fenders all. Very cool that they are bolt on ready with smaller brake calipers already fitted.

Lots of life left.

Well, today was a hard day. Cold morning, I ran 1st run group when it wasn't even 50 degrees yet. My first two events on the Vitours were both warmer and straighter. Road course with cones. Had some of my best career finishes. Today was a parking lot style with three very tight, technical turns and not much traction. I was balanced oversteer my last two events and first lap today was nothing but push. I spun the hell out of the tires (305's) on my first three launches - insane as I've only been ably to break traction on these in the rain. Had to drop the front tire pressure from 25lbs down to 21lbs to get the front to bite, and by the way the lap with some heat I finally felt a bit more balanced. The 305's never felt too big until today, when dialing out the understeer was much harder. After years of fighting oversteer and being afraid of the brake pedal, I finally had to start trusting it to incite some oversteer. Never did fully figure it out today, with best time being a clean 58.4. Last two events I was 3 seconds off FTD and today I'm a solid 5 seconds back. Still fun! And, despite this being a site that eats tires, I am pleased with the wear. Now at 3,000 miles and three AX events. Lots of life left.

It didn't lose a single psi.

My Vitour Tempesta P1 | 200TW Tire for AutoX & Track by Americas Vitour Tires have handled all the abuse & mistakes of a rookie driver as well as the heat on track at #scca time trial nationals at NCM. I overcooked a corner and ran wide putting my 2 driver side wheels in the grass. I overreacted and brought it back onto the track too soon going hard over the curbing and the impact was enough to bend the inside face of my driver side front wheel. This is a fully forged Apex racing wheel and I got immediate vibration. Brought the car back to the paddock for inspection. The Vitour took a direct hit to the inner sidewall at >100mph and held up with barely a mark. I though for sure it was gashed, but it didn't lose a single psi. Rebalanced the wheel where it was drivable and the next session out was my fastest over two days. Dallas Reed even gave me a T shirt so today was a good day.

All in all, it was a great upgrade. Huge fan.

Second event on my Vitour P1s. 170 people at the autocross, and I had my best finish ever, finally beating my old instructor after chasing him for 7 years. Closest I ever cam was 1 second back, and this time I won by a second. Also gained 2 seconds on two other drivers I've been benchmarking against. So, after two events, where I was also 2 seconds faster last time, it seems pretty conclusive, my new setup is better. Some is tire /the P1s are FAR more forgiving at the edge than the Rivals, which just give all at once. And some is certainly the extra meat. Went from 225/245 on 15" wheels to 245/305 on 15's. All in all, it was a great upgrade. Huge fan.

I cannot praise the P1 enough

I want to take a moment to express my ongoing amazement for the P1 tire's exceptional performance, consistency, and durability. This past weekend at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway, during our endurance race testing with the Lucky Dog Racing League, the P1s once again exceeded my expectations. A heartfelt thank you to LDRL for the opportunity to test these tires at their event. I’ll keep this as brief as as possible and try to avoid reiterating everything that Dallas Reed has already shared. Even with temperatures soaring above 100 degrees, the tires never felt greasy. I pushed them hard, intentionally driving aggressively to see if I could make them lose grip. While they did get hot and lose some grip, they quickly regained their composure once I adjusted back to more sane driving. The lap charts I posted illustrate the remarkable consistency of these tires. In the first session on Sunday, my three fastest laps were 2:01.48 on lap 22, 2:01.46 on lap 27, and 2:00.87 on lap 31 of a 36-lap session. In the final session, I achieved 2:02.06 on lap 147, 2:01.22 on lap 136, and 2:01.13 on lap 149. Given the challenges of an endurance race with over 40 cars on track, securing clean laps is a rarity. In the last session I had one sub two-minute lap and multiple low 2 minute laps going on my predictive before getting caught in traffic. It's worth noting that both sessions utilized the same set of tires, although mechanical issues with the first car meant I was driving a different vehicle in the second session. While both cars were set up to the same spec, the consistency of the P1s is still very, very impressive. Additionally, the tire pressures in each session were significantly different; 37 lbs. after the first session and 30 lbs. after the last session, yet the performance remained almost identical. For context, my personal best on this configuration was on the 100TW DOT slick Maxxis RC1 tires at 2:02.07 back in November 2019 under much more favorable weather conditions. I am confident that, with ideal weather, breaking the two-minute barrier on the P1 is well within reach. I’ll wrap this up with one final point: My fastest lap was the 3rd fastest time of the day, and during both sessions I was in a fierce battle with the eventual race winner—a much more powerful BMW with aero. If not for the mechanical issues, we could have potentially clinched the victory. I cannot praise the P1 enough; it truly is the best UHP 200TW tire I’ve ever had the pleasure of driving! Like fine wine and cheese

Like fine wine and cheese, VitourP1.com tires and Apex wheels are a perfect match. This will be my second set of Apex VS-5RS wheels. My first set was wrapped in 295/18 and 345/18 Vitour P1 tires on a C8 Stingray. Now, this new set of widebody 19 inch Apex wheels will be fitted with 295/19 and 345/19 Vitour Tempesta P1 on the Corvette E-Ray! Apex actually reached out to me because several of their customers mentioned Vitour P1 tires while searching for Apex wheels and they wanted to know more about the Vitour P1. When they learned about my plans for the E-Ray and how LS Fest went, we got another set for the E-Ray. I've already been recommending Apex to C8 and C8Z owners, it’s a great combo!

The car felt balanced, gripped well

Had my first event on the P1's. Compared to the fastest guys, I gained 2.0 seconds on a 60 second course. I'm usually about 5 seconds off FTD, and was only 3 seconds back this time. Obviously, I'm not the fastest driver, but I was pleased with the results. The car felt balanced, gripped well, and was neither strong on over or understeer. I was concerned the super fat rears would make the car push, but no, still tended towards oversteer, but in a controlled, progressive way. Unlike my old Rivals that would go then give up. Overall, I'm thrilled. 245/35R15 front and 305/30R15 rear. 22psi front and 24psi rear to get full use of the tread. Bonus points for this being an SCCA event and the "banned" jokes from the pros.

Impressed by the performance.

Last night, we hit the track to see if we could beat our previous PB of 2:33.105 from the MegaLAP Time Attack a few weeks back. How did we shave 3 seconds off? Vitour Tempesta P1 These soft compound street tyres delivered optimal grip, allowing our test driver, Hayden Haikal, to clock a low 2:31 lap on his first run. Impressed by the performance, we went back out and secured a 2:30.041 before wrapping up the session. Huge thanks to Vitour Tires Malaysia for the support, and for producing street tyres capable of smashing lap records!

Excited to be behind the wheel of a Corvette E-Ray running on 295/345-19 Vitour Tempesta P1 tires!
Competing in SSP, where the P1s are allowed alongside Hoosiers.
It's also the E-Ray's class for this year. Next year, the E-Ray is moving to SS as should the P1.
First time driving the E-Ray, and after just 3 runs, I can say it exceeded my expectations. My experience driving the Lotus translates well, making the E-Ray easy to drive fast. The course is typical but on the tight side of the usual Grissom setup, with a few digs that the E-Ray really excels at.
Day 1 results: 23rd raw out of 200+ drivers, around 1/4 down the list on SSP pax, however -- Converted to SS PAX, I would have placed 7th overall!
Not my best Day 1 result at a Peru tour, even if considered under SS index, but I'm very pleased with the performance!

I was the fastest on the track in the session.

Team VitourP1.com P1 Rain / Wet Road Course Test Saturday morning of the Indy SCCA Putnam Park event was an opportunity to take the P1 out in wet/raining conditions. This is the first time I have driven the P1 on a road course in the wet, I have driven them at autox in the wet previously. I did not do any A B with a competing tire, just several laps to feel out the P1 performance. Surface was entirely wet, more than damp, light rain for most of the session, no substantial puddling/standing water. Subjectively in the conditions I drove in, I expect they are probably faster in full wet conditions than a BFG Rival S 1.5. Slower than PS4S or A052. My experience here was under straight line acceleration and braking the P1 is pretty good. They put power down well, in fact, surprisingly well. I think for a start/stop type of competition in the wet these would do very well. There was no noticeable hydroplaning in the straights at speed whatsoever, and under straight line braking the performance felt good. Under blended loads, and especially mid corner. There is a lack of grip and the car wants to slide. The feeling reminds me of the Rival S 1.5 but with much better straight line braking and putting power down. Not as bad as an A7 in the wet, but definitely lacking compared to an A052 or PS4S all of which I have also driven in wet conditions. Under straight line braking and acceleration in full wet, I'd go so far as to say the P1 may be better than the A052 or in the same ballpark, but the A052 has much more grip once cornering force is involved. Anecdotally, I am pretty sure I was the fastest on the track in the session by a decent amount, but that could also be car/driver.

Thanks to Vitour making wide tires.

Ended up driving Dallas Reed's Vitourp1.com K24 turbo Elise at the Indianapolis Region SCCA fairgrounds autocross. This thing rips! Surprised I was actually able to control it. Definitely much better driving than the last time I drove it with the mismatched tires, thanks to Vitour making wide tires for 15s, 305/15s change the game for sure! Beyond that Dallas and I got the tires quite hot with no spraying and they seemed to lose their edge. Pretty impressed so far, I'm very interested in what they'll do once I get them on my own car. At any rate I was 1st in class, 6th on pax, and I think 2nd raw? Things fast, hopefully I can catch up to it!

Loving the 245/35/15 size especially for the lower center of gravity

Was my first time using the Vitour P1 a few weeks ago at the PCA Autox in San Pedro. With just a gentle scrub in beforehand and limited setup data I still managed 2nd in PAX and 5th in raw. Two tenths ahead of the next STR prepped ND Miata on A052s even in cold weather. Definitely more time to be found by dialing in the pressures and making some shock adjustments (and with more ambient temperature). Loving the 245/35/15 size especially for the lower center of gravity and gearing my ND2. They came in about mid way into the first run despite the cold weather. Even still the first run was a still a respectable time within 3 or 4 tenths of my fastest run. By run two they are 100% ready to set a flyer, and stayed in a perfect temp window for the subsequent runs. This is leaps and bounds better than the Nankang CR-S v2, Falken RT 660, etc, which often take 2 runs to get enough heat in them to work on the Miata. They seemed to get in the right window almost as fast as A502s but have way more steering feel on turn in. They felt a similar turn in bite and feedback to RE-71s but with the slip angle and overall mid corner grip of the A052s, which is really the best of both worlds. I'm very impressed there because so many of other tire options are very vague on corner entry feedback which can be tough on a stiff car. Absolutely will be using these for everything I can within the class rules. Looking forward to trying them on my XA classed 650hp BMW M2 as well.

I'm extremely happy with the longevity of the tire

Gonna take the P1s on a significant road trip to the "Subaru Challenge" in a few weeks. Tires have already seen 2-3k miles of road driving and 4 autocross events with roughly 30-40 runs, mostly at Grissom on the grippy rough tire eating concrete. Road driving seems much easier on the tires than some of the other super 200tw tires which is what has convinced me to try a long road trip to see how they do in that situation. So far I'm extremely happy with the longevity of the tire vs the performance. Much more consistent and stickier than tires I've ran with a similar wear rate (like the rt660). Excited to get my actual "race car" back up and going to try these out on.

Biggest win of my career this weekend. Everything came together as it should and I was not only able to bring home 2 trophies but on top of that we won the weekend and this prize of 2 Vitour P1 tires in a 285 to throw on the car and see what this build can really do with a massive sticky steam roller under it. I have to thank Vitour for sponsoring this event and giving out these tires to the winners!

I had an incredible weekend in San Pedro

My brother and I had an incredible weekend in San Pedro, co-driving the YOLOC5 Corvette! Saturday, we raced with Corner Exit Event Services, and on Sunday, we joined Porsche Club of America: Los Angeles (PCALA). The Corvette got some new upgrades: slightly stiffer springs front and back, Van Steel front and rear sway bars, and a fresh corner weight and balance. We dialed in the car and got comfortable with the new setup on Saturday. My brother secured 2nd place in the Modified class and had the 4th best overall combined times out of 87 drivers! Sunday, we felt much more comfortable in the car. I put down some fast laps in the practice sessions but couldn't repeat it for the timed runs. On the other hand, Anthony went all out, took 1st place in the Modified class, and ended up with the 3rd fastest lap out of 90 drivers! There was some serious competition this weekend & I can't explain how proud I am of Anthony Paolino and the car! At 650hp, The Vette is a real handful and it will bite you in the ass if you get too aggressive. So seeing it rip around a tight autocross course makes it even more special. These autocross events are so much fun, and I've met some incredible people. Can't wait to get back out there! Huge thanks to Jim Tway at Tway Motorsports for all his incredible work on this car. Shoutout to Sam at ViTour P1, 200 TW Tire for Autox & Track for setting me up with the P1s! These tires have around 140 laps on them and they're still holding strong. This 200tw tire continues to blow me away. That's all for now. Until next time, keep on racing!

It's going to take another 100 or more

This tire on the yellow corvette has 90 autox runs, 75 on sandpaper concrete at Grissom / Peru known for eating tires. 15 runs at Tire Rack. 2003 Corvette Z06 Zach Rogers fast guy To me looks like it's going to take another 100 or more. The P1s lose tread pattern and nearly look like slicks like a v730 or Nt01 do when they wear in. Seem to keep pace, if anything get faster.

Pretty happy with the results

First event on the P1s and can now see what the hype is all about. The tire was grippy out of the gate, but got better every run. Wear seems minimum so far and the lot we ran on is extremely aggressive on tires (Grissom AFB in Peru Indiana) Ended up 3rd Raw in the contingency 1st in class 15th Raw Overall Pretty happy with the results being a bunch of high HP CAM cars and some race cars on slicks filled out the majority of the top 20.

Not quite Miata course tight but definitely not what I'd consider open Took screenshot of top 1/3 from live timing Myself and Brandon topped overall PAX. Due to the lack of availability for 18" 200tw tires sized for the Viper, I bought these for street use (Conti ECF on backorder for 2 years now?) 100 street miles

First autocross event with the P1s (245/40/17) mounted on my 135i. They had about 100 street miles on them prior. They were fast and didn't need any time to get up to speed. My 2nd run of the day basically held FTD until the last few runs where I was bumped from the top. Good enough for P2 overall on the day and won my class. Another note is that they were very consistent throughout the day. I had 4-5 of my 8 runs all within a 1/10th. I'm a bit concerned with how long they're going to last but we'll see when we get there. The extra/lower shoulder wear (just started to touch the "WATER RAZOR" text) was because I left them around 25psi after the break/changeover and sent it anyway. I typically get a full season, which is 8-10 events @ 10-14 runs an event, on previous 200TW tires. I've run seasons on Direzzas ZIIs, RT660s and RE71R/S prior to these.

The P1 have a ton more laps

Team ViTourP1.com Gridlife Gingerman Rev Up Get your P1s at https://ViTourp1.com coupon code TEAMP1 I have done a ton of laps at Gingerman. It is a home track. This was Justin's first time. He spent the better half of day one figuring out the new car and track but he had it figured out for day 2. 295/315 A052 295/345 P1 Both on 18x10 18x12 C8 Stingray z51 5vm/factory aero, afe front sway bar, stock otherwise Day 1 One of the morning sessions A052 1:39.0 Dallas Later morning session P1 1:38.7 Dallas https://youtu.be/PlZtcdarEoU Day 2 First session best conditions of the event I went out on A052. Went out with ptm/TC on the wrong setting and it botched the one good lap. Made a second lap with ptm set correctly but was slower than the previous day's 1:39.0. Too much fall off on the second lap with the A052. I gave Justin the heads up to avoid the same mistake so he could make the most of his morning attempt in which he pulled off a 0.3 lead on me with the P1 P1 1:38.4 Justin (on second lap, first was 1:39.2) https://youtu.be/_u1x7Ned9gQ Second session early afternoon P1 1:38.7 Dallas https://youtu.be/QTdmre99ciY A052 1:39.0 Justin The wear rate difference between the P1 and A052 is no joke. I have had to replace a rear a052 prior to this event to from wear. The P1 have a ton more laps than the a052s and look like they could do a ton more. I found the P1 easier to drive on because of substantially more feedback at the limit compared to the A052. I ran sessions of 3-5 laps at this event with the P1 and never felt sketchy, they always felt good. On a longer stint there may have been some fall off, but they never felt bad. Peak grip felt similar, a touch more understeer on the P1 setup due to the sizes. A052 were 1 chance. You could try a second lap but always noticeably slower and third was a waste of time. The PDR errored a few times and I wasn't the best at remembering to turn it on so I am not sure I recorded one of the 1:39 A052 laps. The 1:38.7 was apparently enough for 2nd place in unlimited class.

Awesome time with Gridlife

Awesome time with Gridlife at Gingerman Raceway this weekend. I got to run this beautiful C8 corvette owned by Dallas Reed of https://ViTourp1.com in time attack all weekend. This weekend was a bit of a learning curve for me as it was not only my first time at this track but also my first time tracking a c8. It’s not a real difficult track to learn and I felt like I figured it out fairly well by the end of the first few sessions. We ran both the ViTour P1 and Yokohama A052 to benchmark them against each other. Ultimately I ran my fastest lap on the P1 of a 1:38.4 but was also the best conditions being the first morning session second day. I ran the a052 the next session and ran a 1:39.0 in a little worse conditions as the temperature came up a good bit. So far it seems that they are both very similar in overall pace, but the a052 falls off pace with each lap as it gets hotter. I did three back to back laps on them today and got about half a second slower each lap. The p1 holds on to its best pace for at least three straight laps on this car. Dallas said the P1s are lasting much longer than the a052s on this car. This set of p1s had three full track weekends including two with two drivers in the car, and 20 autocross runs and will go a few more weekends yet. Thanks again for inviting me out and letting me pilot the C8 around to learn the track and get some more experience on the tires. ViTour P1 vs Yokohama A052

ViTour P1 vs Yokohama A052 Tire Test #2 Autocross on Asphalt Shipping now at http://ViTourP1.com Conclusions: The ultimate fast lap times are too close to call between the A052 and ViTour P1 in the same size The P1 works surprisingly well in 48F temps even on the first run The first run time between the A052 and P1 was too close to call (this was a surprise to me, I expected the A052 to have an advantage at 48F and it did not) The P1 kept their pace for every run and did not have any fall off. A052 wear substantially more than the P1 The 345/25/19 P1 on a 19x11 wheel is faster/has more grip than a 315/30/18 on a 18x12 wheel. We were able to reproduce wear that looked like a early precursor along the lines of what is shown in the GRM test. But vastly less severe. It only showed itself by what I would describe as overdriving / excessive sliding, when the tires are cold / first run. This happened on the 345/19 on the first run or two when cold. Mostly after Mike's first on the 345s where I thought he was "overdriving" before I inspected the tires. On subsequent runs when the tires were at normal temperature this sort of wear stopped/mostly disappeared. I also think it could have something to do with the surface. Or could be off. Asphalt, OK condition, not great. Bumpy 2 drivers Dallas Reed / Mike Young, test n tune style event, not much break between runs. Same tires that were new at the beginning of the Road America event my previous tests were based around, with addition of 345/19 P1 rears for a test segment Runs: Listed in order as the day goes, conditions improved a bit as the day went on. I will list runs that have cones as dirty. We could throw them out but including them gets a better perspective IMO. We started the day on A052. The weather and surface were cold. The thought was to do 3 runs or until we did a run we felt was hard to beat then switch drivers or tires. We would start on the A052 to learn the course, plus figured it was coldest at the beginning of the day and assumed the A052 would be the better choice given how cold it was. A052 morning 295/30/18 on 18x10 front, 315/30/18 on 18x12 rear Mike 45.694 (site seeing run) Dallas 40.629 40.137 39.938 4/21/2024 12:02 https://youtu.be/0Xe7N9CYMYM Mike 41.030 40.387 39.548 (dirty) video 4/21/2024 12:19 https://youtu.be/gAS0GUo1IXw We decided that in this condition a A052 was good for somewhere between a 39.9 and a 39.548 and switched to the exact same size P1. P1 morning 295/30/18 on 18x10 front, 315/30/18 on 18x12 rear Mike 40.395 We were stunned on this run by the time. We expected the P1 would not be so good on the first run, but obviously it was right there with the A052. It came in within the first 1/4 of the course or so. 38.815 (dirty) 39.913 video 4/21/2024 12:41 https://youtu.be/dS-4hlOZp14 Dallas 39.799 (dirty) 39.951 video 4/21/2024 12:51 https://youtu.be/rS20ner_mnI 39.639 (forgot to turn on PDR/video) We concluded the A052 and P1 offered very similar times. The P1 were also good on the first run, and wasn't any more a throwaway than it was on the A052. P1 pinched rear 345 early afternoon We swapped the 315/18 rear for new/unused 345/25/19 on 19x11. Mike did some burnout action to scrub the tires a bit before run 1. 295/30/18 on 18x10 front, 345/25/19 on 19x11 rear Mike 39.791 (dirty) 40.30 Mike thought the rear was a bit excessively loose. I expect it was still not quite scrubbed. I told him he was overdriving, I was riding with him for these two runs. We observed some interesting wear that reminded me of the wear noted in the GRM test, not to that extreme but in the same vein. 40.982 39.557 video 4/21/2024 1:36 https://youtu.be/SOlq8OLKaV4 Dallas 40.664 38.878 video 4/21/2024 1:49 https://youtu.be/tSFggXX4xWM Mike tries 345s again 39.184 39.131 A052 afternoon Lets try the A052 again, keep in mind the surface has warmed a good bit in the afternoon sun since this morning and over the day, some improvement is likely due to this plus just better understanding of how to attack the course Dallas 41.982 38.730 video 4/21/24 2:11 2 https://youtu.be/qXG9QWPN-zU Mike 39.264(dirty) 39.105 4/21/24 2:19 https://youtu.be/4O_YFyh8C7M I mounted up the 295/315 P1 to give that another shot as I fully expected I could match the 38.7 time with the improved conditions and better familiarity with the course, however the event was ended, with another worker shift obligation needed to do more runs and I did not have enough time to do a work shift and do more runs due to other obligations that day. Either way a productive test day for sure! Results had us 3rd/4th PAX for the day. #1 spot was held by a STX FRS on the 245/17 P1, the same one I co-drove and did a write up on in this group a few weeks ago. GS Civic on I believe RE71RS taking the #2 spot. This event did not have too many of the usual fast guys as it was not a competition event.

4 GRIDLIFE Carolina Motorsports Park

24 GRIDLIFE Carolina Motorsports Park Team P1 Results Justin Peachey wins Trackmod, sets class record, FTD day 2, using the 345/19 ViTour P1 Bronson McNemar on the 285/15 P1 makes a strong showing, his 1:38.09 in practice putting him 5th overall at the time would have been good enough for top 10 overall for the event, however fights mechanical issues over the course of the event.

My first true experience

Finally got to have my first true experience on the P1s last weekend. Was very happy with the results. Im still getting used to the car being a very new build. I saw 1.42 of cornering Gs .9 acceleration and 1.11 braking. Excited to get more comfortable with the car and push the tires further. Have a lot of work to do on myself to truly be competitive Car is 91 Miata at 2500lbs with me in it. 4b11t from an evo X making 425whp in this video pared with faceplated sequentially shifted t56 and a cobra IRS.

The P1s have more flying laps

ViTour P1 vs Yokohama A052 Wear http://ViTourp1.com These were brand new at the beginning of this weekend. Rear left corner. Both 315/18 The P1s have more flying laps if anything as they were ran to checkered. The A052 were so greasy on lap 3 it wasn't worth pushing it. The A052 were sprayed, well more accurately, hosed down, between attempts. Without spraying the 2nd driver, even with the first driver doing 2 laps and coming in, and a 20 minute heat before going was at a disadvantage on the A052 due to lack of heat tolerance. Zero spraying was needed or done with the P1s, and they offered more flying laps. The A052 are noticeably closer to wear bars, the corner wear is noticeably more. The P1s look like they've been scrubbed. Not even close to the wear bars.

Great first impressions

Great first impressions from my 315/30R18 & 345/30R18 ViTour Tempesta P1s. I ran them on 18x12s. 345s won't quite fit on the front without revising my fenders. The P1s helped me dominate the autoX segment at the Pro Touring Truck Shootout and win the Outlaw class. Plus I was able to cut an 11.922 @ 123.85 mph to yet again secure the Ultimate Truck title. Who knows, it might be time for a set of 18x13s and 345s square.

The first session went great

Made it through day one at Gridlife CMP with the Track Mod class lead! But not without any issues. The first session went great with new pb right out of the gate. The second session I lost power steering which I found out is very helpful running the new ViTour Tempesta P1 345 front and rear. A power steering line fitting started leaking from a fitting connected to the rack. A new O ring and thread sealant both didn’t fix it, so JB weld it was. The third session of the day was the first qualifying session of the weekend and everything finally worked and I got the new Track Mod lap record and first in qualifying. We have two more qualifying sessions tomorrow, then the top 5 in each class have a two lap shootout tomorrow afternoon to finalize the top 5 positions in class for the weekend. Tomorrow is live streamed on Gridlife’s YouTube channel. I also posted my qualifying laps to my YouTube https://youtu.be/jLMbToSaDjc?si=Ykpb2rsg-_sIHOPQ. Go check it out! I was definitely pushing for it. If you buy ViTour tires go to https://p1.tires and use TEAMP1 code for a discount. ViTour P1 performed flawlessly

Just a few pictures from the Miata Super Cup race last weekend at Willow Springs. The spec tire ViTour P1 performed flawlessly all weekend with many racers posting their personal best lap times. I laid down a 1:32.5, which as only a couple of hundredths off the fast time of the weekend and it was on a set of P1s that we’ve been testing on for over a year and a half. This tire is amazing.

Our runs were in 40F temps.

Borrowed this 86 on new 245/17 P1s today at the first solo points event of the Indiana season with Columbus region. We were 3rd / 4th pax until second half ran with a lot more fast guys that also had the benefit of afternoon sun and better temps/conditions, and IMO generally better cars (Corvettes). Our runs were in 40F temps. First run was getting the mold release off. Second run we had some but not all grip and third was full song. I ran my Lotus in yesterdays fun event/TNT in similar conditions however on its third run it hooked so hard on the launch with the 345 P1s I broke a motor mount! http://p1.tires http://ViTourp1.com

ViTour P1 on Road Course

ViTour P1 on Road Course test at NOLA Car specifics: 08Z06 3200# Alignment front -3.4 camber, +6.5 caster,0 toe. Rear -2.1 camber, 1/16 toe in. Wheels and tires R18x13 with 345/30/18 and F18x12 with 315/30/18. Weights to balance tires ranged from 1/4oz-2oz on my worst wheel. Cold pressure start 26F and 26R Lap pressure climb 34F and 32R Day was overcast temp 65-70 Tires had 8 autox runs to scrub them in. The tires performed extremely well on road course. First lapout they were pushy in front and loose with power to rear. On second lap with temp they came in and continued to improve lap after lap. The front had very good turn in and were comparable to stones in feel. The rears were incredible putting power down on corner exit. I would compare the rears to A052’s in rear bite and slip angle but more! The P1’s inspired confidence in ability to push to grip limits in turns without snapping loose. The tires never felt overheated and grip level continued to improve. As results shown below my fastest laps were at the end of session. Disclaimer: During lap 4 we had a black flag stop for a spun car stranded on course. Also all laps were in passing traffic. The last two laps i had clear running room. After session tire temps across tire were within 10 degrees from side to side. Tire wear from the 25 min session was minimal. The wear was incredible compared to my experience with other popular 200TW tires. The center tread was not deformed and the outsides had very little wear at all. I belive the tire worked best at 31R and 33F. The tires were just a little more squirmy at lower pressures. As a comparison on second session I used Hoosier A7’s of comparable size on 8x12’s. The hoosiers were faster in every segment. They were 3 seconds faster per lap time. I did notice after lap 4 the hoosier rears started getting greasy and drive out of turn not as good. Im pleased with the performance the P1’s produced. During first initial autox runs the P1’s were slick until scrubbed.
